Last year I was invited to participate as a speaker in the 22nd Winter Course of the International School on Disarmament and Research on Conflict (ISODARCO), to be held in Andalo, near Trento (Italy), from 11-18 January 2009. Due to a misunderstanding with the organizers that was entirely my fault, I had assumed I was to take part in a round table on the relationship between the nuclear industry and nuclear proliferation. I ended up covering a different topic, but in possession of a few notes on, and of renewed interest in, a subject – nuclear industry – I had last dealt with more than a decade ago.
